

Bennie Dale Bryant, of Crestwood, KY, went to his eternal home on June 15, 2025 at the age of 77. He was born on November 15, 1947, in Columbia, KY, to the late Leonard Edgar Bryant and Nellie Pearl Roberts Bryant. He is also preceded in death by his brothers, Leonard Bryant, Jr., Travis (Elaine) Bryant, and his sister Glenda Bryant.
He proudly served his country as a member of the United States Army- 1st Calvary Division (Airmobile). He was honorably discharged after severe physical injury sustained in Vietnam. He was awarded numerous medals including the Purple Heart, Bronze Star, and the Vietnam Service Medal.
Bennie lived most of his life in Campbellsville, KY with his wife, Dora. He had completed industrial education in Electronics, Radio, and TV. He worked as an electronics engineer for privately owned businesses and worked for the local TV station in Cane Valley, KY, WGRB-TV Channel 34. Bennie was very active in local and state politics and was fondly called “Mr. Republican of Taylor County” by his treasured friends, “The McDonald’s Gang”. He loved a good respectable debate and conversation with everyone. He was commissioned as a Kentucky Colonel by the governor. He enjoyed spending time with his friends, fishing, and listening to country and gospel music.
He accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior and was baptized with his wife on their 51st wedding anniversary. He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather whose love for his family was unwavering and never ending.
Survivors are his devoted wife of 57 years, Dora Bryant: two loving daughters, Sherry (David) DeCuir and Tammy (Bill) Schidler; his cherished grandchildren, Kody Schidler, Ben DeCuir, and Peyton DeCuir; his brothers, Clifton (Velma) Bryant, Merriel (Maw) Bryant, Michael (Monica) Bryant, Danny (Sue) Bryant and sisters, Sharon Bryant, Beverly Bryant Teramoto, and Debbie Bryant-Hudson. He also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Funeral service and burial with full military honors will take place on Monday, June 30, 2025 beginning promptly at 2:30pm at Kentucky Veteran’s Cemetery Central (KVCC) in Radcliff, Kentucky.
