He was a CPL with the USMC, a 2010 graduate of Tates Creek High School and was a member of the marching band and wrestling team. Brandon was a member of Off the Line Riders Motorcycle Club. He was an avid outdoorsman and loved hunting, fishing and was an UK fan.
Survivors include his wife: Amanda Smith Abney; parents: Robert L. Abney Jr. and Angela Michelle Abney; sister: Angel Michelle Stager (Michael); brother: Scott Abney; grandparents; Jerri Combs and LeRoy and Joyce Abney; and a nephew Hudson Stager.
A funeral service will be conducted at Noon on Thursday, November 20, 2014, at Tates Creek Christian Church with burial to follow in Camp Nelson National Cemetery. Visitation at the church on Wednesday from 3-8 PM.
Pallbearers will be Travis Dawson, Michael Stager, Scott Abney, Jon Walker, Sammy Said, David Boggs and Preston Childers.
