Brandon Jess Wilson

Brandon Jess Wilson, 51, of Crestwood, Kentucky, passed away peacefully on September 24, 2026. Born on October 8, 1974, in Payson, Utah, Brandon was the son of Grant Bingham Wilson and Pat Denice Larsen. He was a proud graduate of Simon Kenton High School in Independence, KY. Brandon furthered his education at Georgetown College, where he enjoyed a stellar four-year football career, was a member of the Phi Kappa Tau fraternity, and graduated with a bachelor's degree in business and psychology. It was at Georgetown where he met the love of his life, Kristin. The two were engaged and later married on July 17, 1999. True to his generous nature, Brandon was an organ donor, giving the ultimate gift of life to others in his passing.

Brandon was a man of deep loyalty, bravery, and honesty, known for his very dry sense of humor that kept everyone laughing. He was happiest spending time in his woodworking shop or watching YouTube videos to perfect his grilling techniques, especially when cooking up steaks, hamburgers, and stir-fry. Though he didn’t get to go as often as he would have liked, Brandon also had a deep love for hunting. He was a frequent regular at Frascelli's in Buckner and rarely turned down his favorite treats: Klondike bars, no-bake cookies, chips and dip, or a freshly brewed unsweet tea from Thorntons. Above all else, Brandon was completely devoted to his children. He cherished the years he spent encouraging their interests and remained their biggest fan, loving nothing more than watching them grow.

He is survived by his loving wife, Kristin Marie Wilson; his three beloved children, Ethan Chase Wilson, Kaden Jess Wilson, and Dakota Page Wilson; his devoted parents, Grant and Pat Wilson; and his siblings, Brock Duke Wilson and Brooke Wilson Stokke. Brandon was preceded in death by his brother, Bodi Page Wilson. He also leaves behind his cherished Victorian Bulldogs, Tater and Tot, who brought immense joy to his life.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, September 27, 2026, at Southeast Christian Church, located at 6201 Crestwood Station, Crestwood, KY 40014. Visitation will take place from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM, with the service immediately following at 4:00 PM.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Oldham County Schools to assist with lunch fees for families in need. There will be a table for donations at the celebration service, or you can call the funeral home for assistance.
