She was born to the late Carl Waterbury and Jean (Jones) Painter on October 15, 1945, in Louisville, Kentucky.
Carla was a very talented crafter, using her skills to work in her friend’s craft store for many years. She also enjoyed reading and creating flower arrangements.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Dwain Wilson.
Left to cherish the memory of Carla are her children, Donna Harrod (Tony) and Kelly Wilson (Neva); grandchildren, Carie, Clay, Tommy, and Amanda; great-grandchildren, Joey, Katie, Mason, Carson, and Luke; extended family, and friends.
A celebration of Carla’s life will be held at Heady-Radcliffe Funeral Home, 706 W Jefferson St, LaGrange on Tuesday, August 12, 2025, at 2pm with burial to follow in Valley of Rest Cemetery, LaGrange. Visitation will be from 11am until the start of the service.
Memorial donations can be made to the American Cancer Society or Dare to Care in Carla’s memory.
