He was a member of LaGrange Presbyterian Church and an Auditor for the State of Kentucky.
Preceding him in death was his wife of 60 years, Onita Combs.
Survivors include his children: Charles Combs Jr. (Angie) and Shelia Depenbrok (Ralph); grandchildren: John Will Combs, Charlie Combs, Christie Mears Rainey and Kelly Mears Nowak; sister: Carol Ann Combs; brother: Del Combs and 7 great grandchildren.
A funeral Service will be conducted at 11:00 AM on Friday, May 9, 2014 at Heady Radcliffe Funeral Home with burial to follow in Valley of Rest Cemetery. Visitation from 4-8 PM on Thursday.
