He was born to the late Charles William and Caroline Virginia (Miller) Maitland on December 22, 1958 in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
Charles was a music lover and a huge Tennessee Vols fan. He had a great work ethic that he used in his career as a lineman. Outside of work, you could always find him with his family, working on vehicles, or rebuilding electronics.
He is preceded in death by his siblings, Teresa Maitland of Humboldt, TN and Rick Maitland of Milwaukee, WI.
Left to cherish the memory of Charles are his brothers Mike Maitland (Joann) and Jerrell Maitland (Kathy); his children Cortney Maitland, Ashley Smith (Roy), Charlie Maitland (Elizabeth), and Johnny Maitland (Bre Seymour); 8 grandchildren Owen, Caitlyn, Carson, Rachel, Motley, Lennon, Luna, and Roman. He also leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, as well as a huge extended family with all of his friends.
A celebration of Charles’ life will be held at a later date, until then cheer on his beloved Vols for him!
