their angel, their conduit, Charlotte Ann Turner at the age of 72, to
her 43-year long battle to cancer. She is survived by her daughters
Barbara Rogers of Bagdad, KY, Laura Criswell of Crestwood, KY,
Kimberly Billingsley of Warminister, PA, Karen Popp of Bedford, KY,
and Teresa Turner of LaGrange, KY, her 18 grandchildren, and 19
great-grandchildren. She was known to her family, friends, and the
community as a fun-loving, caring and amazing mother, grandmother,
great-grandmother, daughter, sister, friend, volunteer firefighter,
corrections captain, and a child of God. As a true fighter and a woman
of strength, she fought until the very end when she peacefully made
her journey home on the wings of an angel, met at heaven's gate by her
loving husband, Marvin Turner, daughter, Pamela Carman and the many
other family members that awaited her arrival. At this time, the
family requests the community to celebrate her life and the many joys
that she brought to it, so that she can continue to live through those
memories because the family knows that even death could not take her,
that she is permanent in our hearts. Charlotte requested that
donations in lieu of flowers be made to WHAS Crusade for Children.
A funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 AM on March 1, 2014 at Heady-Radcliffe Funeral Home with burial to be in Valley of Rest Cemetery. Visitation on Friday 3-8 PM.
Arrangements under the direction of Heady-Radcliffe Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Lagrange, KY.
