Our heartfelt condolences to the Eads and James family.  Darlene was a loving and caring woman who served others and her community well. She loved her family and that love poured over into her church family. She was a valued member at the First Baptist Church Pewee Valley and we as a church family are grateful and prayerful for all the love, laughs, legacy, and ministry that she so graciously shared with us.

My heart goes out to you all, Darlene was truly a wonderful person. I remember when she and I were singing in the soprano section and I would always say silly stuff to make her laugh.! Praying for comfort.

Shaconda, please know that Greg and I are here for you at this difficult time.  Sometimes there are no words to express your sadness, but I do know that God is truly a comforter.  Just call on him when you can’t put into words to anyone how you feel, and I guarantee he Will,  be there for you.

To Otis, Shaconda, Zephaniah, Otisa, and the rest of your family, what a gift it was  to have known Darlene.  She had such a wealth of knowledge and experiences that blessed me. I  remember her talking about Toast Masters and how she enjoyed being a part of that organization. I also loved Bible studies and listening to Darlene's insights on scripture. You could tell she studied and researched the Word of God. I will  never forget that she gave me the opportunity to work at her clothing boutique for she was  busy working her full time job! Darlene and I grew up together from elementary school to high school. We live on the same street also. Her family was always so nice to me and Darlene was such a sweet lady to know her. We also worked together at Park-Duvalle Health Center.I will always remember her smile. Rest in peace my dear friend.
