

David A. Clem passed away Tuesday, September 8, 2026, at the age of 82. Dave was born February 6, 1944 in Fairfield, Ohio to Lancebrook Clem and Edna Flynn and was the oldest of 10 children. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Gary and Steve, and two sisters, Brenda Brandt and Teresa James.
Dave was a graduate of Fairfield High School, Fairfield, Ohio, Class of 1962. After graduation, he joined the Army to serve his country. After his military duty, he worked for the Ford Motor Company in Monroe, Michigan. He moved to Louisville, Kentucky, in 1971 with his family and worked for the Louisville Fire Department until retirement.
His favorite pastimes included Golf, Rook, and cheering for the Cincinnati Bengals. This year they will make the playoffs!! As many of you know, Dave liked to make people laugh and really enjoyed telling a good joke.
He is survived by Darlene, his wife of 60 years, his daughter, Natalie Popham, and two grandchildren, Noah and Jade, who were the pride and joy of his life. He is also survived by his brothers Harold of Springboro, Ohio, Joe of Tipp City, Ohio, Bobby of Natchez, Mississippi, and sisters, Deborah Long of Vandalia, Ohio and Pam Conaty of Spring, Texas. Additionally, he is survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation will be held at the Heady-Radcliffe Funeral Home, 706 West Jefferson Street, La Grange, Kentucky, on Friday, September 18, 2026 from 11AM- 2PM, ending with a closing prayer led by Reverend Linda Barnes Popham, Pastor of Fern Creek Baptist Church.
