He was born on August 19, 1944, to the late Harold Seton and Helen Edith (Morehead) French in South Haven, Michigan.
Dave graduated from South Haven High School with the class of 1962 before completing his education at DeVry Technical Institute in Chicago. He then retired from Whirlpool Corporation after 34 years of service. Dave went on to enjoy mowing at local golf courses, where he took great pride in making sure the fairways were immaculate! Above all, Dave loved his family and enjoyed being a Grandpa to his grandchildren.
Left to cherish the memory of Dave are his wife of 62 years, Sandi Grimes French; children, Scott French (Amy), Sue Williams (Tommy), and Bradley French (Lari Anne); grandchildren, Hannah French (Emmett Kresslein), Shelby Knight (Lane), Harrison French (Anetta), and Lily Williams; great-grandchildren, Sadie and Miley Knight; siblings, Mary Jo Malbone (John), Richard French (Gerry), Connie Van Hekken (Craig), Sara Gumpert (Alvin); several nieces, nephews, extended family, and many friends.
The family will be holding a private celebration of life at a later date, per his wishes.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be directed to Fern Creek Baptist Church, Youth Camp Fund, in Dave's memory.
