He received an honorary Doctorate of Divinity on May 11, 1984 and served as rector of the Episcopal churches in Pikeville, Beattyville and Danville. He attended St. James Episcopal Church in Pewee Valley.
Survivors include his daughters: Marsha Leigh Webb (Jeff), Amy Lynn Webb, and Cathryn Ann Webb; 5 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 2:30 PM on Saturday, January 21, 2017, at St. James Episcopal Church. A visitation will be on Friday, from 3-7 PM at the church. A separate memorial service will held in the Diocese of Lexington on May 28, 2017 at the Cathedral of St. George the Martyr.
