She was born to the late Alfred Henry and Mary Ellen (Swick) Lawton in Washington, D.C. On September 9, 1944.
Dianna retired from Pasco County School System in Florida after 30 years of teaching, where she was truly a student favorite. She was a science educator and loved doing projects and experiments. Dianna loved doing crafts, mastering basket weaving, cross-stich, ceramics, and always learning something new. Shopping and reading were other favorites of hers. An animal lover at heart, Dianna let her daughters have a host of pets in a skunk, rabbit, genuine pigs, pig, cats, dogs, and others.
Left to cherish the memory of Dianna are her daughters, Brenda Washer, Lola Washer, and Kimberly Fisel (Kiran); siblings, George Lawton and Lola Finch (Kirk); best friend forever, Deborah Holbrook (Anthony); nieces, Wendy Raaft (Ahmed) and Shannon Lawton; adopted family, Mark Latino and his sons, Julian, Samual, and Jack; extended family and friends.
Her final wish was to be scattered at her favorite beach, which will be honored at a later date.
Memorial donations in her memory can be made to your favorite charity.
In true Dianna fashion, indulge in a piece of chocolate in her memory, chocolate was her love language!
