He was born to the late Warren and June Cartwright in Madisonville, KY on January 14, 1952.
Donnie was a master electrician for IBEW Local 369 and was a member of Corn Creek Baptist Church in Bedford, KY. He was loved by everyone he met.
He is preceded in death by his son; Joshua Cartwright.
Left to cherish the memory of Donnie are his life partner of 22 years; Robin Hanna, 2 children; Amy Cartwright (David) and Gabe Cartwright (Abbey), step-son; Daniel Hanna and family, granddaughter; Norah Kenner, siblings; Sammy Cartwright (Janet), AC Cartwright (Jeanie) and Tammie Kaye Hartmann (Steve), extended family and friends.
A funeral service will be held for Donnie at Heady-Radcliffe Funeral Home on Saturday, September 10, 2022 at 6pm with a memorial gathering from 2pm until the start of the service.
Memorial donations can be made in Donnie's name to the Children of Honduras through Humanium.
