She was born to the late Gilbert and Ethel (Curtis) Dailey in LaGrange, KY on September 7, 1927.
Dot was a teller for 23 years for Bank of Oldham County and PNC Bank. She was a 67 year member of LaGrange Baptist Church and had 10,000 volunteer hours with Baptist Health LaGrange Hospital. Dot was honored as a Living Treasure in 2015 and served as the Grand Marshal in the Oldham County Day parade.
She is preceded in death by her husband; Joe Pat Smith, son; Joe Smith, grandsons; Kevin Smith and Jason Wisdom, and brothers; Johnny Dailey and Harold "Junnie" Dailey.
Left to cherish the memory of Dot are her children; Roy W Smith (DeeAnn) and Patty Wisdom (Jerry), grandchildren; Joe Wisdom (Denise), Melissa Clark (Wes), Jamie Best (Chris), Heather Smith, Tiffany Abrams, and Nicole Duck (Jonathan), great-grandchildren; Andrew (Jenny), Brendon, Samantha, Noah, Callie, Elliot, Cade, K, Michael, and Easton, great-great-grandchildren; Journee and Kashton, extended family and friends.
A graveside service for Dot will be held at Valley of Rest Cemetery, 1411 E Crystal Dr, LaGrange, on Sunday, October 22, 2023 at 2pm.
Memorial donations can be directed to LaGrange Baptist Church or the Springs at Oldham Reserve in Dot's memory.
