Twin siblings Emma Lou Melton and David Jo Melton entered into life together on October 13, 2026. Emma Lou peacefully entered into eternal rest on October 15, 2026, followed by her beloved twin brother, David, on October 16, 2026, both surrounded by the love of their family.
Though their time on earth was far too short, Emma and David brought immeasurable love and joy into the lives of their family. Their precious lives, however brief, left an everlasting imprint on the hearts of those who loved them. They will forever be cherished, deeply missed, and remembered for a lifetime.
Left to cherish their memory are their mother, Kayla Melton; their Meemaw, Tracy Melton; their great-grandmother, Mary Jo Seary (Ron); their uncle, Kyle Melton (Dalena); their cousins, Aaliyah, Amber, Bethany (Tyler), and Deborah (Andrew); and many other extended family members and family friends.
They are preceded in death by their grandpa, David Melton; their great-grandparents, Gary Seary, Richard Smith, and Janice Smith; and cousin, Chelsea Hatfield.
A service for Emma and David will be held on Thursday, October 22, 2026, at 18 Mile Baptist Church, 1615 Overstreet Ln, LaGrange, KY at 6pm. A time of visitation will be from 4pm until the start of the service at church. A private burial will take place in Louisville Memorial Gardens East.
