Evelyn was a member of the Log Cabin Quilters Guild and dedicated much of her life to serving others through an extensive career in healthcare. She worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant at Friendship Manor Nursing Home and Tri-County Hospital. In addition to her healthcare service, Evelyn also served her community as an EMT with LaGrange Fire and EMS. Later in life, she worked as a bus driver for the Oldham County Board of Education.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Buford Adamson Jr., who passed away just two weeks prior to her.
Evelyn is survived by her loving children: Tamera Adamson, Jeff Adamson, Christopher Adamson, and Maria Adamson; her grandson, Tyler Adamson; and siblings, Doug Gnagie, Susie Buchanan, and Carolyn Dunaway.
A memorial gathering will be held on Friday, March 27, 2026, from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm at Heady-Radcliffe Funeral Home, 706 West Jefferson Street, LaGrange, KY 40031.
A Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, March 28, 2026, at St. Aloysius Catholic Church in Pewee Valley, Kentucky beginning at 11am.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made in Evelyn's name to the American Alzheimer's Association or the American Diabetes Association.
