Gary Brian Yost

Gary was a 1976 graduate of PRP High School, a retired member of Local 502 Pipefitters Union for over 40-plus years, an Honorable KY Colonel, and he coached many years at Valley Sports Little League and St. Clement Track & Cross Country.

He is preceded in death by his father, Irvin Yost; father-in-law, Walter Thompson; and both sets of grandparents.

He is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Debbie Thompson Yost; his children, Brian Yost (Brian Leung) and Brittany Yost Neu (Mark); and two precious grandboys, Mark and Jackson Neu. He is also survived by his mother, Sue Yost; mother-in-law, "Momma Sue" Thompson; siblings, Michael Yost (Patty) and Dinah Sparks (O.V.); many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. He is also survived by a large and loving "Thompson" in-law family.

Cremation has been selected and you are invited to a "Celebration of Life Party" to be held on Sunday, June 14th from 1:00 PM – 5:00 PM. It will be an open house at the Mellwood Art Center, "Picasso Room," in Louisville. Please join us. In Lieu of flowers or gifts, Memorial Donations in Gary’s name can be sent to St. Jude's Children Research Hospital and/or UK Markey Cancer Hospital.
