He was born to the late Robert and Betty Barnes in Shelbyville, Kentucky on May 10, 1955.
Mr. Barnes was a member of Grace Baptist Church and a construction worker.
Left to cherish the memory of George are his children; Betsy Jones (Gary), Nicole Barnes, Nathan Barnes (Danielle), Adam Barnes, and Marvin Barnes, 17 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, 4 brothers; Bobby, Ben, Johnny and Marvin Barnes, 2 sisters; Linda Hurd and Wilma Moore, and a host of extended family and friends.
A Funeral Service will be held for George on Saturday, January 26, 2019 at 1pm at Heady-Radcliffe Funeral Home with burial to follow at Valley of Rest in Lagrange, Kentucky. Visitation will be from 10am until the start of the service.
