She was born to the late Otto and Gertrude Matzdorf in Berlin, Germany on February 20, 1927.
Irma was a member of Hunting Ridge Presbyterian Church in Baltimore, Maryland. She enjoyed the outdoors, listening to birds chirp, and walking. Above all, she loved her family!
She is preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Major Randolph Harold Erhart, US Army.
Left to cherish the memory of Irma are her children, Linda Thomas (Gary), James Erhart (Dot), and Gayle Hume; grandchildren, Lisa Hoyer (Eric), Amy Galloway (Alex), Nancy Roberts (Dave), Abraham Erhart (Kary), and Sarah Mustage (Nick); great-grandchildren, Benjamin Hoyer (Sarah), Luke Hoyer, Jacob Hoyer (Taylor), Annalise McGraw (Michael), Devin Bibb (Evan), Sofia Erhart, Jack Erhart, Karis Catherine Galloway, Alexandra Faith Galloway, Isabella Joy Galloway, John Mustage, and Sam Mustage; great-great-grandchildren, Leo Anthony McGraw, Mary Anne McGraw, Della Mae Hoyer, and one on the way; extended family and friends.
A celebration of Irma's life will be held at Heady-Radcliffe Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 706 W Jefferson St, LaGrange, KY 40031 on Sunday, July 28, 2024 at 1:45pm with visitation from 1pm until the start of the service. Burial will take place with her husband in Arlington National Cemetery at a later date.
