Born on December 12, 1947, in LaGrange, KY, Jackie was the beloved daughter of Andrew Jackson “Jack” and Kathryn “Kitty” Bowling. In the small river town of Westport, KY, she grew lifelong friendships and stayed active in church. Jackie graduated from Sullivan Business College and pursued a career in insurance with Transamerica.
In 1979, she married Richard Harris “Chop” Bennett, Jr., and together they built a home filled with love and laughter on the family farm in Louisville. Her family was her greatest joy, and she leaves behind a legacy of unconditional love and strength.
A woman of deep faith, Jackie found solace in her relationship with the Lord. A longtime member of Westport Baptist Church, she was most recently a member of Westport Road Baptist Church in Louisville.
Her warm smile and unwavering spirit will be missed by all who knew her.
She is survived by her husband Richard Harris “Chop” Bennett, Jr., daughter Kathy Sue Bennett, and siblings Kenneth “Ken” Dale Bowling and Mary Kathryn “Kathy” Bowling Hahn (David).
Funeral services will be held on Monday, December 15, 2025, at 2pm at Heady-Radcliffe Funeral Home, 706 W Jefferson St, LaGrange with burial to follow at Valley of Rest Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11am until the start of the service.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Westport Road Baptist Church or Westport Baptist Church.
