He was born in Germany on July 8, 1963, to the late James and Mary Huffman.
Fritz had a deep love for sports and proudly supported the Kentucky Wildcats, Purdue, and the Cardinals, but above all, he was a devoted Indianapolis Colts fan. Fritz adored his great-nieces and great-nephew and cherished the friendships and sense of family he found at Cedar Lake Lodge.
Left to cherish his memory are his sister, Karen Smedley (Jody); uncle, David Zoller; nieces, Kristin Bennett (Derrick) and Jennifer Simmons (Sam); great-nieces, Sara Bennett and Emmy Haffner; great-nephew, Weston Simmons; along with extended family and many dear friends.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 8, 2026, from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Heady-Radcliffe Funeral Home, located at 706 West Jefferson Street, LaGrange, Kentucky.
A funeral service will follow, beginning at 4:00 p.m.
