He was self employed for Montgomery Mowing and a member of Crestwood United Methodist Church.
Preceding him in death were his parents, James Ray Montgomery and Wilda Dean Montgomery.
Survivors include his wife of 38 years, Teresa Brown Montgomery; children, Jaime Lee Montgomery and Jacob Allen Montgomery (Stephany Regan Looper); sister, Linda Rae Coffey; brother, Kenneth Allen Montgomery; In-Laws,George Allen and Loretta Mae Brown; brother-in-law, Joshua Lane (Emily Faye) Brown and niece, Madeline Rae Coffey
.A celebration of James's life will be held at 11 AM on Thursday, October 19, 2017, at Heady-Radcliffe Funeral Home with burial to follow in Valley of Rest Cemetery. Visitation on Wednesday from 3-8 PM.
In lieu of flowers send memorial donations to Oldham County Humane Society.
