My heart is heavy for Corey’s family today. I’m sure the reminder of this day brings emotions difficult to manage. I would like to share a way that I celebrate and honor the life of those that are no longer with me, in hopes that maybe doing something special, honoring Corey might help someone else that is missing him dearly today.

I have an “Angel Wall” with their photos and a vintage leather book filled with their name, date of birth, date of passing and a list of things they loved and enjoyed. I recently celebrated my grandpa’s birthday by sharing stories of his life while we were at the dinner table and then enjoyed a Coney Island dog (his favorite at a whole in the wall restaurant) and a shot of bourbon (that he called a “hooker”). The practice of honoring him and laughing about his stories helps keep his memory alive and his life alive for us and it fill us up with love. We do the same thing on the anniversary of his passing.

I’m grateful to have had Corey in my life, even if it was brief.  He will be lovingly thought about and honored today.

Corey was such a beautiful soul.  I worked with Corey for over 20 years.  We had so many great times.  He had a great sense of humor.  We were always the ones cracking each other up at meetings.  My sister Jenny, Corey, and myself occupied what we called Jeb west.  Always laughing with each other.  We would also have great philosophical and political conversations. I learned so much from him.  
He was always so willing to help.  He even rode out to OC to help me coach a U12 girls soccer team.  All the girls loved him and I was so thankful that he was with me.  He was one of the most caring and loving people I’ve know.  He was my rock when I lost my daughter.  He will always be a part of our family.  My dad adored him and would do anything for Corey.  The whole Jeb family is in shock from his loss and will miss his presence dearly.  He is a Jeb “hall of famer”.  Some of his orders were historical.   
This pain is still so raw.  I will never forget the last time I saw him.  So much love.  We were very different people and talked about that fact.  It made no difference in our relationship.  It only made us see things in a different light.  He was very passionate in his beliefs and so strong in his love for his family.  I love you Corey.  You will live on in my heart forever.  

Corey’s laugh was the best of anyone I know - distinctive and contagious.  I could pick out his laugh in a crowd.  He was easygoing but also passionate about his beliefs and ideas.  His love for his “girls, “ Olivia and Alyson,  inspire us all.   Our Cooper extended family will miss him so much; our gatherings will not be the same.  We were blessed to have Corey consider us part of his family.

Thinking of your whole family and hoping for moments of peace and comfort as you share all of your beautiful memories together.  Our family is sharing in your sorrow and keeping you in our most caring prayers. 


Corey was the first student I ever met when I started teaching at LaGrange Elementary. He was flat-out adorable- cute, smart, and personality-plus! I’m so sad that he is gone. He belonged to a wonderful family. I am praying for those who love him. 💙🙏🏼

Our Cooper family will always miss Corey. His smile, his laugh, his easy nature, his humor, and his understanding when talking to you about anything. He loved our Cooper get-togethers, anyone that was his family, his friends, nature, camping, hiking, sitting next to a fire, doing yardwork and tending to plants, his customers and work he did with Jeb, Seinfeld & Andy Griffith re-runs that he could watch a million times, and I know how much he loved Alyson & Olivia (“his girls”) they were his world.
He truly had a zest for life.
I can’t tell you how much we will miss him...there will be an empty place in our family.
We wish we could all give you a big squeezy hug, Corey.

Bob and I are so sorry for your loss.  What a tragedy losing a child no matter how old.    We admire your strong faith  and close family ties - are hearts are with you.

So sorry for your loss but know Corey is in a much better place and we will all be reunited one day. The love and togetherness you all showed him was tremendous and a testimony of how family needs to stick together through the good and challenging times.

So many sweet memories of Corey with that beautiful smile and curly, perfect hair of his.  Guess one memory that really stands out the most was teaching him to drive and at a stop he said " you know, I am Not very smart"  I replied....WHAT???   Yes you are!  He said, well I don't play sports!! I responded by saying you may be smarter than any of us!!! 
Oh and All our many, many conversations with Chester and Louise Brown... They always taught us things and brought many laughs along the way❣️ Until we meet again

I don’t want to share a memory of Corey.
I want to hear his boisterous, infectious laugh & share one of his famous holiday turkey dinners. I would even endure another political rant to have him here.
Corey was a very handsome man who loved his family. He was so generous and my handyman.
Corey was so strong when facing the inevitable.He had “his girls “ there. He will live on through Olivia , “daddy’s girl”.
Alyson was his rock.

I will always remember Corey with such fondness. He was one of the sweetest people I know. I picked him up everyday and he rode with my sister and I to high school one year; fun times. He was a great friend, and will be missed. I pray for comfort for his wife, child, sister, brothers, mom, dad and all that knew and loved him. Gone too soon.

I am so very sorry for your loss.  I know Corey was a great man and will be missed dearly.  His time on this Earth was precious so cherish every memory forever.  Alyson and Olivia, I know how hard this is for both of you.  Please be there for each other and the family.  If you need anything Alyson, please do not hesitate to contact me.  I am here for you.

Many of my fondest memories of dear Corey involve our shared love and obsession with coffee along with the wonderful conversations and quality time spent at all the Cooper family gatherings and other special times. He always had a quick quip or kind word to share and our bond grew strong over the years. He is missed and deeply loved!

Was a great dad and friend. Allison and Corey always welcomed our daughter Annie and many  of Olivia friends into their home. There were countless sleepovers and many fun times spent there. 
I am grateful  that our family had him in our life.
