

He was born to the late Bobby Lee and Esta Lucille (Webb) Lowe on June 8, 1950, in Mingo County, West Virginia.
Jimmy retired from Ford Kentucky Truck Plant and was a member of the Local UAW 862. He enjoyed all things cars, fast cars more specifically and loved his Oldsmobile Cutless and '96 Ford F250.
He had a good time listening to Bluegrass music and cheering on his grandkids, who affectionately called him Papaw, at their sporting events and life achievements.
He is preceded in death by his wife 35 years, Karen Lynn Lowe; son, Stephen Thomas Lowe; sister, Patricia Willingham; and beloved niece, Amy Jo Curry.
Left to cherish the memory of Jimmy are his children, Tiffany Lowe, Stephanie Riordan (Aaron), and Josh Lowe; grandchildren, Malachai Day (Jonathan), Logan Cates (Katelyn), Allison Cates, Lilly Riordan, and Caleb Riordan; great-grandchildren, Jason Day, Oliver Cates, and Scarlett Cates; siblings, Carol Sue Curry (Joe) and Bobby Lowe; extended family and friends.
A celebration of Jimmy's life will be held on Thursday, June 4, 2026, at Heady-Radcliffe Funeral Home, 706 W Jefferson St, LaGrange at 1pm with a time of gathering from 10am until the start of the service. There will also be a celebration of life in his hometown at Turkey Creek Free Will Baptist Church in Turkey Creek, Kentucky at at a later date before being buried with his wife in Mountain View Memory Gardens in Belfry, Kentucky.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Cedar Lake Lodge Foundation.
