She was born in Louisville on August 31, 1953 to the late George and Josie (Flatt) Roy.
Joann worked in food services at Baptist Hospital. She was a member of LaGrange Heights Baptist Church.
She is preceded in death by her fiance; Clyde Thomas.
Left to cherish the memory of Joann are her daughter; Tammy Wright, grandchildren; Tyler Harris and Ashley Harris, sister; Debbie Churchman (Gary); brother; Jerry Combest (Kathy), nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
A celebration of Joann's life will be held on Tuesday, March 7, 2023 at 1pm at Heady-Radcliffe Funeral Home, 706 W Jefferson St, LaGrange, KY 40031 with visiting from 11am until the start of the service.
