He was former co-owner of Graft-Pelle Company and an Army Veteran. John was a volunteer for the St. Matthews Fire Department for 25 years. He played football and baseball for duPont Manual High School and attended UK.
Survivors include his wife of 64 years: Jean Stevens Kaster; son; John Kaster Jr. and his wife, Carolynn; brother: Rudy Kaster Jr.
Cremation was chosen.
