He was born to the late John Thomas and Della Whitworth Mattingly on May 2, 1951 in LaGrange, Kentucky.
David was a Pastor at Rivers of Life Church for 10 years and was the Oldham County Bus Driver. He loved riding his motorcycle and fishing. David continued his ministry to many by passing scriptures to people through the county. Above all he loved spending time with his family.
He is preceded in death by a brother; Michael Mattingly.
Left to cherish the memory of David are his wife of 34 years, Donna R. Mattingly, children; Kelly Kemper Rogers (Carl), Johnny Mattingly, Stephen Kemper Jr. (Jamie) and Joshua David Mattingly (Sarah), 16 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, siblings; Rebecca Thurman and Dennis Mattingly, extended family and friends.
A celebration of life will be held for David at Heady-Radcliffe Funeral Home on Saturday, September 17, 2022 at 5pm with a memorial gathering from 1pm until the start of the service.
