

She was born to the late Harry and Ann (Gibbons) Keyes on July 14, 1934 in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. June had a great love for ice skating and was a competitive ice dancer even into her 60s, picking up tennis in her later years of life. She was an instrumental part in starting the Northwest Harvest Food Bank in Seattle, Washington. June worked at Swedish Hospital in Seattle as a Hospice Nurse for over 20 years before her retirement. Once moving to Kentucky she attended Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in LaGrange.
She is preceded in death by her husband; Rual Muir Cook.
Left to cherish the memory of June are her children; Tammy Anderson (Blaine), Randall Turner (Liane), Michael Turner, Robert Turner (Colette), and Terri Muir (DeAnna), step-children; Clara Farrington (Max), Bobby Cook (Sharon), Cathy Fleck (Marvin), John Cook, and Stephen Cook (Jackie), 17 grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren.
A service to honor June’s life will be held at Heady-Radcliffe Funeral Home at 7pm on Thursday, December 29, 2016 with visitation from 4pm until the start of the service. Burial will take place at Mountain View Cemetery in Tacoma, Washington in the spring along side her late husband, Rual.
