Karrie Gail Young, age 48, passed away on June 19, 2026.
Born on July 25, 1977, in Louisville, Karrie was the beloved daughter of William "Woody" Young and Renata Harrod. She attended Greater Faith Apostolic Church and found great joy in worship and singing.
Karrie had a vibrant spirit and a love for life. She enjoyed singing, dancing, fashion, cooking, music, and painting. She especially loved spending time walking her beloved dog, Simon, and cheering on her favorite team, the San Francisco 49ers.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory her father, William "Woody" Young; her mother, Renata Harrod; her sister, Cheryl Lukins (Douglas); her children, Myah Lashley (Jaxon), Mackenzie Wink (Adam), and Alayna Lukins; her cherished granddaughter, Jane Wink; and numerous extended family members and friends who will miss her dearly. A committal service will be held at Valley of Rest Cemetery on Tuesday, June 30, 2026, beginning at 11:00 a.m.
A memorial gathering will follow at Southeast Christian Church, 920 Blankenbaker Parkway, Louisville, KY 40243, beginning at 12:30 p.m.
