She was born to the late Herman and Katherine Parris in Louisville, Kentucky on December 11, 1940.
Kathy was raised Catholic and attended Mass regularly until becoming a member of Southeast Christian Church LaGrange Campus, played Bunco, enjoyed swimming, tennis, and doing puzzles. She was a founding member of the Ballardsville Fire Department Auxiliary.
She is preceded in death by her siblings, Hap Parris, LaVern Zaephel, and Peggy Hornung.
Left to cherish the memory of Kathy are her husband of 68 years, Bob C. Widman Sr.; sons, Bob C. Widman Jr. (Lisa) and Ron D. Widman (Debbie); grandchildren, Brittney Jones (Brad), Brianne Taylor (Jacob), Austin Widman (Grace), and Connor Widman; great-grandchildren, Brynlee Jones, Brooklynn Jones, Benjamin Taylor, Lucas Taylor, and Aspen Widman; brother, Rick Parris (Susan); extended family and friends.
A celebration of Kathy's life will be held on Friday, April 11, 2025, at 7pm at Heady-Radcliffe Funeral Home in LaGrange, KY. A time of gathering will be held from 3pm until the start of the service. Placement will occur at Resthaven on a later date.
