Kathryn Hardin Hardin McMakin

The former Kathryn Pinnell Hardin passed away at her residence on Tuesday, November 16, 2010.

She was preceded in death by her husband, W. I. McMakin, Jr., her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Albert Van Hardin, and her brother Albert Van Hardin, Jr.

She is survived by her two sons, William I. McMakin, III.( Beverly)and Ronald Albert McMakin, and one grandson, William I. McMakin, IV.

Mrs. McMakin was raised and lived her early years at Sunny Side Farm in Brownsboro. After her marriage she moved to LaGrange and lived on the McMakin farm known as Home Lands, where she lived until her death.

She was a member of LaGrange Christian Church. She was also a member of Rob Morris Chapter #114, Order of the Eastern Star.

She was a member and past president of the LaGrange Literary Club, the LaGrange Women’s Club, and the Oldham County Homemakers. She was also a board member for Mallory Taylor Hospital and served as a volunteer for Baptist Hospital Northeast for many years.

Funeral Service will be held 10:30 AM Friday, November 19, 2010, at Heady-Radcliffe Funeral Home & Cremation Services in LaGrange. Visitation will be Thursday 2-8 PM. Interment will be in Valley of Rest Cemetery in LaGrange.
