He was born on June 14, 1943 to the late Samuel and Gladys Straughn in LaGrange, Ky.
Bush was a retired firefighter for the Louisville Fire Department after 21 years of service and a farmer.
He was preceded in death by his sisters; Marjorie Hartmann and Margaret Cox.
Left to cherish the memory of Bush are his wife; Wanda Straughn, daughter; LeAnne Smith (Mark), grandchildren; Cody Smith, Katie Smith, and Jeremy Straughn, 6 sisters; Dorothy Roberts, Edith Callis, Nancy Bell, Alice Straughn, Virginia White, and Wanda Burton, brother; Sam Straughn, and adopted son; Bobby McGrew.
A gathering to celebrate the life of Mr. Straughn will be held at Heady-Radcliffe Funeral Home on Saturday, May 20, 2017 from 1-8pm.
