Mary loved fishing, the color blue, and animals. She was a devoted member of the Seventh-day Adventist faith and most of all cherished her children and family.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James T. Kennedy, and her son, Timmy Carter.
Left to cherish her memory are her children, Charlene McKay, Larry Carter, Karen Kennedy, Conrad Pickard, and Judy Carter; her siblings, Dewy Lee King, Robert King, and Beulah Courter King; 9 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; and a host of extended family and friends.
A visit for Mary will be held on Tuesday, September 16, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Heady-Radcliffe Funeral Home, 706 West Jefferson Street, La Grange, KY. A funeral service will begin at 1:00 PM, with burial to follow at Louisville Memorial Gardens East.
