Michael David Casper, 65, of LaGrange, Kentucky, passed away peacefully on November 4, 2025, at his home, surrounded by his beloved family. Born on December 4, 1959, to Donald William and Mary Elizabeth Casper in Pasadena, California.
Mike had a successful career in the fire safety industry, working for ORR Protection Systems. Outside of work, Mike was known for his love of adventure and the outdoors. Whether boating on the waters of Nolin, Barren, or Dale Hollow Lakes or camping in Pensacola, Florida. Mike cherished time spent with friends and family. A true music lover, Mike could name the song and artist of any tune that played. His passion for life extended to home projects, where he enjoyed tackling new challenges. He was also an accomplished cook, famous for his West Coast Burgers that became a family and friend favorite.
Mike is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Julie Casper; sons, Steven Casper (Jill) and David Casper (Erin); and a grandson on the way, who will surely carry on his legacy. He is also survived by his father, Donald William Casper; siblings, Don Casper (Saudia), Cathy Casper, Susan Casper, Tom Casper (LaVita), and Jane Scharrer (Scott); as well as a host of nieces, nephews, extended family, and countless friends who will remember him fondly.
A celebration of Mike’s life will be held on Saturday, December 6, 2025, at Heady-Radcliffe Funeral Home, 706 W Jefferson St., LaGrange, KY 40031 with a time of gathering from 1:00 p.m. until the start of the service at 3:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or the American Cancer Society.
