He was an Army veteran, worked for LGE, and eventually became a stay-at- home dad. He was a lifelong sports fan, especially the University of Louisville Cardinals.
Preceding him in death were his wife of 30 years, Sue Carol Prather Jackson; parents, Lawrence and Geneva Jackson; brothers, Terry Lee and Billy Jackson; sisters-in-law, Wanda and Janice Jackson; and niece, Chantel Fluhr.
Survivors include his children, Michael Jackson (Angela), Adam Jackson (Gerri), and Ida Michelle Jackson-Hall (Carl); grandchildren, Shelbie Carson (Clayton), Kyle (Juliana), Luke, Bode, and Charlotte Jackson; soon-to-be great-grandson, Jude Carson; sisters, Judy Allen (Bill) and Jayne Settle (Dave); brothers Wayne and Patrick Jackson; and many nieces and nephews who he adored.
A Celebration of Life will be conducted at 11 AM on Saturday, August 20, 2022, at Heady-Radcliffe Funeral Home with burial to follow in Valley of Rest Cemetery. Visitation from 4 to 8 PM on Friday.
