Michael Dale Sublett

Michael Dale “Mike” Sublett of LaGrange, former owner of LaGrange Tooling Services, avid outdoorsman, and family man, passed away peacefully on Saturday morning, May 18th, 2024, surrounded by his loving family. He was a member of Covington Baptist Church in Westport. Mike was born to Melvin Ray and Mary Edna Sublett on August 9th, 1950 in Louisville, KY and had four older siblings - Melvin, Jr. (“Sonny”), Karl, Danny, and Diane. He is preceded in death by his parents, two of his brothers, Sonny & Danny, as well as his sister, Diane.

Mike loved the outdoors, going fishing, playing golf, and riding horses. He proudly served as a member of the Sheriff’s Posse, riding his stallion, Snidely, with pride and dedication. Church and family game nights were also a favorite, especially when playing poker and Sequence.

Mike’s legacy lives on through Nancy, his wife of 54 years; his four children, Jeremy Sublett (Valerie), Jolie Holton (Brian), Tobey Fawbush (Sean), and Lindsey Tichenor (Bowin); and his 16 grandchildren - Jasper (Emily), James, Greta, Josh, Gus, Mae, Jack, Tula, Arlen, George, Luca, Scarlett, Bella, Lucy, Braxton, and Logan. Mike also had a special bond with his dog, Pup Pup, who was always by his side.

A celebration of life and final farewell for Mike Sublett will be held Tuesday, May 21st, 2024 at Covington Baptist Church (2231 KY-524, Westport, KY 40077), with visitation from 10:00a to 1:00p and funeral at 1:00p. A graveside gathering will take place immediately following at Duncan Memorial Chapel Cemetery (5600 Old Floydsburg Rd, Crestwood, KY 40014).
