She was a member of Highview Baptist Church East Campus where she was a member of the Choir. She belonged to the Red Hat Society, LaGrange Homemakers and was former owner of Heirloom Antiques in LaGrange.
Survivors include her children: Dianne Bowman (John Ware), John Carnes (Alison), Darlene Bell (Lin), Gary Carnes (Debbie) and Greg Carnes (Nancy); 12 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren.
Funeral Service 1:00 PM Wednesday at Heady-Radcliffe Funeral Home & Cremation Services. Burial in the Valley of Rest Cemetery. Visitation 3-8 PM Tuesday and after 10 AM Wednesday.
