Dr. Doyle was one of my favorite professors at uhcl.  I was also a clerk at the time. I spoke to Dr. Doyle often on campus. I learned so much from him. I'm aware of some of the issues that he was dealing with.    To his family: Sincerely, I am sorry for your loss.

Dr. Doyle was a good professor, from whom I learned a great deal. The knowledge he shared with me has contributed richly to my career as a clinical psychologist. In fact, as a professor myself, I now teach the same course  I once took with Dr. Doyle, and I still rely on principles I learned from him as I work with clients in my clinical psychology practice. I want his family to know that, notwithstanding the troubled aspects of his life, he contributed greatly to good in the world, through the ongoing legacy of the many psychologists he helped to teach and train. Patrick was a good friend to me early in our careers at UH/CLC.  I will always remember his caring nature, sense of humor, intelligence and encouragement.   We reestablished and remained in contact the last 20 years.  Rest In Peace, Pat.
