

Born on October 2, 1942, Phyllis grew up in a close-knit family and spent her life in the communities of LaGrange, Prospect, and New Castle, Kentucky. In addition to raising four daughters, she was known for her strong work ethic and warm personality. Over the years, Phyllis worked at Triple R Farm, Trackside Restaurant in LaGrange, Paul’s in Pendleton, and Wink’s Diner in Pendleton. For more than ten years, she served as the head cook at Trackside, where her hearty breakfasts and welcoming smile became a morning tradition for family, friends, and community members alike.
Phyllis was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Edward Wiseman; her daughter, Teresa Wiseman; her parents, Raymond Woosley and Mary Francis “Sis” Woosley; and her siblings Wayne Woosley, William “Bill” Woosley, Gussie Woosley, Elwanda Woosley Gullett, and Wilma (Louis) Thurman.
She is survived by her daughters Rebecca Ann Wheatley (John), Bobbi Jane Jackson (Jimmie), Mary Etta Neat (Danny), and Yuwanda (Wink) Maddox (Jonathan); her siblings Lynn Woosley and Margaret Neal Woosley; and sisters-in-law Robin Woosley and Evelyn Woosley. Her legacy also lives on through her grandchildren—Sarah Hilgers (Chris), Amanda Shields (Nate), Kimberly Jackson (Corey), Lyndsey Jackson (Justin), Stacey Hall (Adam), Shawn Wiseman (Erica), and Brandon Maddox (Jessica)—and great-grandchildren Maxton Hilgers, Annabelle Hilgers, Matthew Neal, Tori Neal, Makenna Webb, Lane Wiseman, Dakota Russell, Olivia Wiseman, Arya Russell, and Oliver Hall.
Funeral services will be held at Heady-Radcliffe Funeral Home in LaGrange on Saturday, February 7, 2026, at 10am, with burial at Valley of Rest Cemetery in LaGrange. Visitation will be on Friday evening from 4-8pm at the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made to New Castle Nursing and Rehab.
Phyllis will be remembered for her kindness, generosity, and the joy she brought to those blessed to know her.
