Ronnie was one of my best friends, as was the whole Barrickman family.  I miss seeing and talking with Ronnie.  He was around for those who needed help, especially his wrecker!!!  He's now in a much better place!!!  GOD bless Ronnie Barrickman!!!

Ronnie, I wanted to leave you one last message. I was a kid in high school when I first heard your name and something about a little red vega. I hung around a service station in Prospect. They all drove hot rods and talked about you and your Vega. I could tell that they were afraid to match up with you. In my twenties I became your neighbor and finally got to meet the legend Ronnie Barrickman. We became good friends and I found out that you were not only the fastest, you were the most modest. Like so many others, I will miss leaning on a tailgate talking to the only legend that I ever knew.
Gena and I love you Ronnie and we will miss you greatly. We will see you later at the big drag race in the sky.

Ronnie was ever-present. At any given moment we’d see him waving at the corner gas station, honking while passing by on local streets, or sharing stories at his home and occasionally at a car show. 

One late night around 1 a.m. we were waiting for an oncoming vehicle so we could make a left turn to go home and could tell it was slowing down. It turned out to be Ronnie who stopped to chit chat on his way back from a run. 

Ronnie was here, there and everywhere, and he will remain a friend in our hearts. John and I will miss him. 


Ronnie was just a call away when my son drove my father’s truck out into the middle of a field of mud, he walked out with his chain and hook and fell in a muddy hole and climbed back out, it didn’t faze him. He was always in a good mood; best thing about car trouble was getting to see Ronnie, such a fine person and good friend, a true blessing to all that knew him.  I send my prayers for comfort to his family and life-long friends.

Our deepest sympathy to the Family , for Ronnie gave so much back to his Community and his fellow first responder family . He will truly be missed by all ~

I am going to miss you so much. You always came to our rescue when we needed you. You always gave me crap but I know you would be there in a heartbeat when I needed you. Every time I see a wrecker I look to see if you. I will miss you so much!!!!

My heart aches at your loss. I will always remember the fun you all had boxing the cars. The three of you kept me entertained all winter long.  Such happy times. Rest In Peace my dear friend. You will always be in my heart!

The Barrickman family and my family are life-long friends. Thank you Ronnie for rescuing us on several  occasions. You were patient, kind and a professional. We will miss you, my friend. Our prayers for Evelyn, the family and all of his many friends.

Rest in Peace Ronnie.  Ha!  Too many memories to list.  One of the funny ones ...my trying to drive the sassy grassy green truck up Bohannon in the gravel with no bed.   Spun those tires all the way up the hill.  Sure that was good on the new paint job.  Another thrill was driving the Vega around Frisch's!  What fun. 

Ronnie was a lifetime friend and will be missed. I will cherish the memories that we had. Have a good time on that runway in the sky. Love ya
