Sharon Ann Jones of LaGrange, Kentucky was born on October 17, 1944, in Kenvir, Kentucky to the late James Robert and Doris Kathleen (Wallace) Gilbert passed away on December 15, 2025, at the age of 81.
Sharon earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing, which she utilized to serve as a Registered Nurse for 20 years at numerous Louisville area hospitals. Her commitment to her profession and her patients was unwavering, and she touched many lives through her work. Her legacy of kindness and service to others will be remembered by all who knew her.
She was predeceased by her parents, her brother, James R. Gilbert II and her grandson, Corey Shackelford.
Left to cherish the memory of Sharon are her children, Grant Shackelford and his wife Cindy, Angela Sigmon and her husband Tim, Darren Shackelford and his wife Phylicia, Chris Shackelford and his wife Julie, and Dana Bradt and her husband Jason. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 1 great-granddaughter, and her sisters, Merry C. Childers and Patricia J. Wilkins.
Christmas was Sharon's favorite time of year, as you decorate and entertain this holiday season, spend a little time remembering her!
