She was born on December 26, 1941 in Cincinnati, Ohio and raised by her late parents Albert and Lena Bell (Edds) Kerby.
Shirley was a housekeeper or in her words a "Domestic Diva" and a member of Grace Baptist Church.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 55 years; Owen Simpson Jr. and granddaughter; Brandy Kirby.
Left to cherish the memory of Shirley are her daughters; Wanda Henry (Scott), Lorie Harroff (David) and Jeanette Johnson (Timothy), grandchildren; Derek Kirby, Wesley Henry, Joshua Owen Betz, Scott Michael Betz, Devon Henry, Jillian Page Harroff, Julia Brook Johnson and Grace Elizabeth Johnson and Nathan Henry, 6 great grandkids, half sister; Barbara Jean Koutz, extended family and friends.
A private service is to be held on Monday, March 30, 2020 with burial to follow at Valley of Rest in LaGrange, Kentucky. A Celebration of Shirley's Life will be held at Grace Baptist Church at a later date.
