Trudy Willy Cunningham

Our beautiful butterfly slipped quietly away from our world early Friday morning. Her radiant smile, the twinkle in her eyes, her mischievous little laugh and her enthusiasm for life will remain with those closest to her forever. As a wife, she held Shannon’s life together and gave him purpose, laughter and love; as a mother, she took great medical risks to give life to her son Nic, who was the joy and the angel of her world; as a sister, Trudy shined her light, beauty, and heart upon us; and as an aunt, she adored her nieces, Alitzia and Mia, and her nephews Galen and Mitchell and they adored their Tante Trudy (T.T.). We will shed tears; we will remember the life she shared with us; we will smile again, open our eyes, love and go on, because that is what Trudy would want.

Trudy is survived by her husband: Shannon Cunningham; son Nic Gleitz; sisters: Petra Czarnecki (Günter) of Germany, Rita Everett (Rick) of NY, and Leah Slaughter (Mitch) of LaGrange. Trudy joins her mom, Sabine, who passed away on Feb 18, 2011.

Visitation hours for friends will be held from 5-8 PM on Monday, January 1, 2012 at Heady-Radcliffe Funeral Home. A Funeral Service will be conducted on Tuesday, January 3rd, at 1:00 p.m. also at Heady-Radcliffe, with cremation to follow.
