Wilma Fay Mayse

She was born to the late Arnold and Linnie (McQuinn) Horn on August 29, 1936, in Estill County, Kentucky.

Fay was an incredible homemaker and a wonderful cook, always hosting old-fashioned, wholesome meals for her family and friends. She also had an outstanding green thumb, growing the most beautiful flowers you've ever seen!

She is preceded in death by her husband, Lester Lee Mayse Sr.; son, Arnold Nelson Mayse; grandson Bobby Mays; and siblings, Rodney Horn, Mary Ellen Jones, and Sonny Horn.

Left to cherish the memory of Fay are her son, Lester "Les" Lee Mays Jr. (Connie); grandchildren, Angel Adams (Dan), Tonya Jaggers, Lindsey Hecht (Dennis), and Missy Velasco; 13 great-grandchildren, an army of great-great-grandchildren, siblings, Gertrude Goe, Brenda Norman, and Merle Horn; many nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.

A celebration of Fay's life will be held on Wednesday, July 15, 2026, at 1pm at Heady-Radcliffe Funeral Home, 706 W Jefferson St, LaGrange, Kentucky 40031 with burial to follow in Floydsburg Cemetery in Crestwood, Kentucky. Visitation will be from 10am until the start of the service at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made in Fay's memory to the American Cancer Society.
