

Billie "Biddy" Merle Smith Stark Allen, 88, of Austin, Texas passed away on March 26, 2016. She was born on October 3, 1927 in Dallas, Texas to Morris Allen and Purity Brock Smith. Billie graduated from Austin High in 1945 and married W. J Stark on April 3, 1946 in Austin, Texas; they raised three daughters and were married until his death in 1984. She then married Jay William Allen on April 8, 1995, in Boerne, Texas and was married until her death.
She was a mother to many, homemaker, a Girl Scout Leader, a Sunday school teacher, Red Cross instructor. She loved family history, Wheel of Fortune, Bridge, sewing, quilting, cooking, traveling, birds, and hosting many International exchange students. Billie was passionate about her Methodist church and served on many committees and Boards. She was a member of the Thankful Hubbard Chapter of the DAR and Emmaus.
In addition to her husband, Bill Allen, she is survived by her daughters and their husbands, Mary Jo Stark (Ed LaRock), Nancy Blumenberg (Paul), and Lindy Rothe (Mark); AFS daughter Snezana Antic (Dragon), Mary Allen, Joe Allen (Shelly), Susan Sigmon (Jim), and Lytton Allen (Cindy). Grandchildren Mona Cadena, Chloe Blumenberg, Anna Blumenberg, Noah Blumenberg, Avery Rothe, Marija Antic, Bojana Antic, Stephanie Niedeckan, Samantha Facker, Ediee Mason, Christopher Camp, Wes Sigmon, Phillip Allen, and Andrew Allen; and great grandchildren Arianne, Caden, Isla, Eli, Joshua, Seth, Zebadiah, MaryAles, Toby, Ashlynn, and Devin.
A Celebration of Life was held on March 28 and a private graveside service at Oakwood Cemetery in Austin, Texas will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial can be made to the charity of your choice or the Alzheimer's Association.
The family would like to thank the staff at Brookdale for the care and love they gave our mother for past 6 years.
Death leaves a heartache no one can heal, love leaves a memory no one can steal.
