Brian Keith Tompkins

Brian was born March 22, 1983, in Houston, Texas, to Ray and Carol Tompkins. Brian attended kindergarten through high school in Houston and Tampa, Florida. He graduated from High School in 2002. Brian attended and graduated from the elite Watch Technology Institute at North Seattle College in 2008. As an expert in watch repair he began his career in Houston and continued in Austin.

Brian was a passionate rock climber and member of several rock climbing clubs. His favorite place to climb was Enchanted Rock near Fredericksburg, Texas. He also enjoyed camping, playing golf, and spending time with his friends and family. He loved dogs and was for a while the proud owner of a very excitable Bloodhound named Blue. He was hard to get to know at first, but once he knew you, he was considerate, caring, and a good friend.

Brian is survived by his parents, Ray and Carol Tompkins of Austin, Texas; his sister and brother-in-law Casie and Andy North of Austin, Texas; his sister and brother-in-law Cara and Jeff Rome of Houston, Texas; niece and nephew Madison Burke and Dylan North, and niece and nephew Eliza and Dean Rome, and several grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins.
