She is also survived by her son-in-law, Mark and daughter-in-law Teya along with six grandchildren; Madison, Conner, Delaney, William, Kate and Piper. She was preceded in death by her parents Frances Amanda and Seeling Wilson Poston along with her brothers Robert and Franklin.
Caroline was born on February 11, 1946 in Austin, Texas. She graduated from Travis high school and attended the University of Texas in Austin. On October 15, 1966 she and Marty were joined together in their 56+ year marriage.
Caroline was an avid tennis player and loved to travel. She was a very accomplished interior decorator and loved to turn a house into a cozy home. During their marriage, she and Marty made quite a number of moves with homes in Arizona, Louisiana, Texas, California, Colorado, England, Scotland, Indonesia and Thailand.
Caroline had a passion for helping others and devoted much of her time to volunteer work. She made several mission trips to the La Senda children’s home and school in Guatemala. She was an active volunteer with four outreach organizations: 1) the Assistance League of Austin operating the toy cart at the Dell Children’s hospital, 2) CASA, 3) The Lake Travis Children’s Fund, and 4) Helping Hand Crisis Ministry of Spicewood.
Caroline was a devoted Christian and proud of being one of the founding members of the Bee Creek United Methodist Church. The Holy Spirit was firmly enshrined in her heart and mind as evidenced by her kind and loving ways. She reflected the light of God’s love to all who crossed paths with her.
Her memorial service will be at the Weed Corley Fish event center in Lakeway, Texas at 2:00PM on January 6, 2022. The world will be a little duller without her bright smile, captivating personality, and giving heart … in lieu of flowers, her family is asking that donations be made to the Alzheimer’s Association (http://act.alz.org/goto/Caroline_Miller).
