

Cynthia Huke, 91, died Sunday, August 23. She was born April 28, 1924, in Ada, Oklahoma to Archibald and Grace Wallace. On April 26, 1944, she married Theodore Huke, of Ft. Worth, Texas. As the wife of a colonel, Cynthia was a gracious, warm partner and homemaker. Ted and Cynthia enjoyed living in many locales, including Germany, Ohio, San Antonio and California.
Cynthia was active in her church and spent many years delivering Meals on Wheels. She excelled in golf and bridge. Cynthia had a personality people were attracted to, and she had many friends. She loved her family, bright colors, English muffins, and red wine.
Survivors include sister Rocile Mueller; brother Jack Wallace; daughter Sara Naylor; sons, John Huke (Randy), and Scott Huke; grandsons, Dwight Monteith III ( Elena), Kenneth Naylor (Rachel), Jared Huke (Guo Jing) and Graham Huke( Erica); great grandsons, Max Monteith, Nathan Naylor, Jax Huke, and (Iain Huke, born thirteen hours before Cynthia died), and many nieces and nephews.
Memorial service will be at 4:00 pm, August 28, 2015 at University Christian Church, 2007 University Ave., Austin. Interment will be at the Dallas-Ft. Worth National Cemetery.
The family wishes to thank the caring staff at Querencia, where Cynthia resided the last seven years. Special love and thanks go to Johnnie McGarity.
