

David Walton Collier passed away on September 23, 2025 at the age of 78 years. David was born on November 16, 1946, in Mercedes, Texas. His family later moved to Carrizo Springs, Texas, where he graduated from high school. David graduated from Southwest Texas State in 1970. He worked in the custom cabinet industry.
David was actively involved with Pi Kappa Alpha fraternity at SWT. In later years, he helped re-establish the fraternity on Texas State campus in 2012. He then served as chapter advisor for several years and later served on the advisory board. David's Pike brothers stayed well-connected through the years, hunting and playing golf. They included wives for trips to Fredericksburg and vacations.
He is survived by his wife, Marky Collier, and his sons, Colby and Cory, and grandchildren Sydney, Dax, and Stone. He is also survived by his brother John and wife Darnell and his sister Barbara Anderson.
He is preceded in death by his parents, J.B. and Dorris Collier.
The family would like to thank Brookdale at Lakeway, especially Rosa and Mari for the loving care and compassion they gave David. Marky would like to thank her friends Cricket and Lynn and her sister Karen for the help and prayer they showed.
