Eric Randall Thompson passed away at his home peacefully on February 10, 2026. He was a longtime resident of Bee Cave, Texas. Eric was born and resided in Baton Rouge, Louisiana until he began his career in Houston, Texas and subsequently moved to Austin. He was a graduate of Istrouma High School and LSU, majoring in business administration. He was an avid LSU Tiger fan.
Eric retired from an extensive career in residential, commercial, and mortgage real estate. He subsequently worked part time at Lowe's and jokingly called himself a master mixologist of paint.
Eric had many longtime friends and enjoyed meeting them and others at Starbucks every morning and occasionally going for beer, burgers, and wings with former racquetball friends.
Eric is survived by his brother, Ronnie (Debbie) Thompson; sisters, Cindy (Charlie) Lacost, Renea (Doug) Hawkins; nephews, Jason (Lauren) Thompson and Chad (Nicole) Lacost. Eric was preceded in death by his loving son, Chase Randall Thompson; his parents, Ellis Randall and Margaret Thompson; nephew Bryan Thompson.
His wishes were to be cremated. There will be a memorial at a later date.
